Another Unconstitutional Gun Control Bill Introduced in Congress!

Gun control is back! The Left is trying to renew a piece of legislation that would make it illegal for YOU to build your own guns at home. They claim this is going to stop terrorists from creating plastic guns, but the only thing that this law would do would be to turn American citizens into felons.

Every time gun control comes up, the Left says that we need to "compromise." That's nonsense. We give an inch and they take a mile. People build their own firearms because they don't believe the government has any right knowing what guns they own.

And they're right! What you do as a private citizen is NONE of their business! This is just the beginning. If the Left succeeds in banning homemade and plastic firearms, then they are one step towards creating a complete gun registry. You MUST raise your voice and demand that this bill be stopped!

Let me put this simply: Whether I exercise my Second Amendment rights, or not, and how I exercise those rights, or don't, is NONE of your business!

We have been told for years that the firearm background check system stops felons from buying guns. Gun control groups love to trot out the statistics of how many illegal purchasers have been denied.

What is seldom mentioned, however, is just how few of these illegal purchase attempts are actually prosecuted. If the goal of firearm background checks was to stop prohibited persons from buying guns, then EVERY failed attempt should be prosecuted!

But in reality, the federal government only prosecutes around 0.06% of all declined firearm purchases! In 2010, for example, there were more than 34,000 felons and almost 14,000 fugitives who were denied during the background check process. The Obama administration only prosecuted FORTY-FOUR (44) of them!

We know that the NICS system doesn't punish criminals because the administration can't be bothered to prosecute them once they're caught… What the background check system does accomplish, however, is that it gives the administration an idea of who is purchasing firearms.

I don't care what the law says about the illegality of gun registries. The only reason the Office of Management and Budget is even involved in the process is to collect the statistics of gun purchases!

Many people choose to build their own firearms for personal use in order to get around this clear record keeping. They aren't doing this for nefarious purposes… They aren't terrorists... They just want their privacy.

Now, Rep. Steve Israel has re-introduced his Undetectable Firearms Modernization Act, a bill to outlaw homemade plastic guns unless citizens first get permission from the government!

This bill is outrageous! The author claims that the bill will stop criminals and terrorists from building guns, but that logic simply doesn't add up… It's illegal to deface gun serial numbers, but the criminals do it anyway. It doesn't matter what law you put on the books to try to control criminals' actions… they will ALWAYS break the law!

Last year, the Undetectable Firearms Act passed with a bipartisan effort. It stopped just short of banning homemade guns. Now, the anti-gunners are back and trying to expand this law to make it illegal to build or possess a plastic firearm.

I am writing you to tell you that if I so much as hear a rumor that you are going to support the Undetectable Firearms Modernization Act, I swear that I will stop at nothing until you are removed from office…
