Update: Mitch McConnell Surrendering Congress' Treaty Powers

When the Constitution was drafted, the Founding Fathers chose to give Congress the power to ratify treaties. This was done for a reason. You see, they understood that the fate of the country was far too important to allow one man (the President) to commit an entire nation to a foreign agreement.

Make no mistake, the President has a lot of power. But when it comes to treaties, the Founders were clear: 2/3 of the Senate has to agree.

However, Congress is about to surrender this authority once again. They are going to allow Obama's nuclear deal with Iran to go through even with bipartisan opposition in Congress.

Ted Cruz and other Conservatives in Congress are desperately trying to amend the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act before it is too late. However, he can't do it alone. You need to raise your voice and DEMAND that Congress approve these Conservative amendments and officially classify the Iran nuke deal as a treaty!
