Today, the House Rules Committee is debating whether to allow an amnesty provision to make its way through to the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act. This legislation is supposed to fund the military but liberals have used it as a mechanism to get amnesty passed.

What's even worse is that John Boehner and his allies in control of the House Rules Committee are going to let the amnesty provision stand!

This will allow and encourage the Department of Defense to hire illegal aliens instead of American citizens.

This CANNOT be allowed to happen. The only thing that can defeat this ideological loyalty is for YOU to raise your voice right now and fax Congress demanding that this provision be removed. The committee is meeting right now so you're running out of time!

Today, the House Rules Committee is debating the National Defense Authorization Act. Within this 900+ page legislation is a paragraph-long provision that legitimizes and institutionalizes Barack Obama's 2012 amnesty executive order.

Since you and your colleagues rarely read the bills before voting on them, I did it for you. Here is the provision itself:

"It is the sense of the House of Representatives that the Secretary of Defense should review section 504 of title 10, United States Code, for the purpose of making a determination and authorization pursuant to subsection (b)(2) of such section regarding the enlistment in the Armed Forces of an alien who possesses an employment authorization document issued under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program of the Department of Homeland Security established pursuant to the memorandum of the Secretary of Homeland Security dated June 15, 2012."

I'll translate for you. It is against the law for the Department of Defense or any military branch to hire an illegal alien. The same is true for private business owners. This provision says that it is Congress' decision for the military to reinterpret the law - pursuant to Obama's illegal alien amnesty directives - in order to justify hiring illegal aliens instead of American citizens.

This is coming at a time when a near record-number of enlistedmen and officers are being denied re-enlistment. Even though our enemies are at our doorstep, the Obama administration contends we are in a time of peace.

However, while these Americans are being forced out of the military, recruiters are being encouraged to replace them with illegal immigrants.

This isn't right, it isn't legal, and it isn't just. I am scoring this vote. Whether you are on the Rules Committee or not, it is your duty to do everything in your power to strip the NDAA of this amnesty provision. Rep. Mo Brooks has an amendment being debated today to do just that.

If the provision is left in the legislation and you vote for it, you will be scored as voting for amnesty. And if that's the case, I will oppose you every step of the way and make sure you lose your next election!
