Yes! House Votes to Protect the Unborn!

This week, the House of Representatives voted to ban abortions after 20-weeks. At this point in the pregnancy, unborn children are able to feel pain. It is unethical for a surgeon to operate on a 20-week old baby without anesthetics, let alone kill them. At 21-weeks old, a child can survive outside the womb.

The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act passed the house 242-184. Now it goes to the Senate where Democrats have threatened to kill the bill.

This CANNOT be allowed to happen! We are so close to protecting the unborn. Please take the time to fax blast Congress to hold the line in protecting the rights of the unborn!

This week, the House of Representatives voted 242-184 to outlaw most abortions after the 20th week. After the fifth month of pregnancy, it would be illegal to murder the unborn child in-utero.

That's what that would be: murder. At 20-weeks, unborn children are able to feel pain. It is unethical for a surgeon to perform surgery on a 20-week old without anesthetics. So how is it possibly ethical to to murder a child?

The Supreme Court ruled in 1973 that the point of viability was around 24-28 weeks. However, the law has not caught up to modern science. At 20 weeks, the unborn feel pain in-utero. At 21 weeks, it has been proven that they can survive outside the womb.

The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act bridges that gap. It would recognize the humanity of the unborn and ensure that these children are not killed.

If doctors aren't allowed to perform surgery on the unborn without anesthesia, how can anyone possibly say it is ethical or legal to abort and dismember the child at the same stage of development?

This legislation would save tens of thousands of lives every year. Those babies will be born, grow up, and have children of their own. The amount of lives you can save is exponential.

You have an opportunity to put a stop to late-term abortions once and for all.

The House passed this bill. Now it is the Senate's turn. You have to do everything in your power to get this passed.

Watching you and your colleagues withdraw the bill earlier this year was absolutely shameful. That's the only word that comes to mind to describe legislators too afraid to protect the rights of the unborn.

But now, you have a chance to make it right. You must pass the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Otherwise, I blame you for every viable child who is aborted.
