New Backdoor Gun Control Program at the VA!

The VA needs to do more to help our Veterans, but their latest program is shameful.

The VA wants to hand out gun locks to hopefully prevent veterans from committing suicide. Unfortunately, they are forcing these vets to register before they're given the lock.

With all the Obama administration has done to disarm our veterans, now they want a database to make the disarmament easier!

You have to put a stop to this! Only Congress can intervene and put a stop to this backdoor gun control program!

The fact that there are 22 veterans committing suicide every day is shameful. It is shameful that we, as a country, haven't done more.

However, the VA's latest program to help these troubled veterans is nothing but a thinly veiled gun control program.

It is well documented that the VA has the ability to seize veterans' firearms with little-to-no due process. Veterans have been sent gun confiscation letters for reasons as simple as needing a family member to help with their finances.

Now, the Department of Veterans Affairs is launching a program to give veterans free gun locks. The idea is that if a gun is locked up, it will stop a veteran from reaching for it in the heat of the moment.

This sounds like a noble endeavor. However, instead of handing these out anonymously, the VA is forcing veterans to first register for them.

Since 2012, 99.3% of the people added as "mentally defective" to the NICS gun ban list were veterans and were added by the VA. Say one thing wrong at a VA doctor appointment and the Department will take away your gun rights.

The fact that the VA is now collecting data for a veteran gun owner database is unacceptable. This is nothing but a backdoor attempt to record which veterans have guns.

And history has shown that gun registration leads to gun confiscation 100% of the time.

The Obama administration must fear our veterans to devote so much time and energy to disarming them.

The question is, why are you letting this happen? Why are you allowing the VA to collect this information?

You need to put a stop to this! As an elected official, you CANNOT allow this obvious gun control program to use veteran safety as a lure to build a veteran gun database for future confiscation!
