One of the worst parts of John Boehner's reign as Speaker was his decisions to block popular legislation. Concealed carry reciprocity is one of the issues that languished under Boehner.

There are bills 183 co-sponsors in the House and dozens of sponsors in the Senate and GOP leadership has continually refused to allow a vote on either.

That has to end.

Over the weekend, a man was able to save himself and others when he used his licensed concealed weapon to kill an armed robber in a convenience store. This happened in Chicago. A year ago, the citizen wouldn't have been allowed to carry a firearm and innocent people would have likely died in that convenience store.

Every day, Americans are forced to make a choice while traveling across state lines. They can either disarm and risk victimization or remain armed and risk arrest and imprisonment.

No one should have to make this choice. Licensed gun owners should have the right to carry nationwide. Crime doesn't stop at the state line and neither should carry permits!

There's S.498, The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act that is sponsored by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) and has an excellent chance of passing with its dozens of co-sponsors. H.R.923 is the House version of the bill.

Then there is H.R.986, The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, has bipartisan support and over 180 co-sponsors. This should have been voted on months ago, but Boehner didn't like it.

And last but not least, there is H.R.402, The Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2015, is a similar bill and also has 93 co-sponsors.

Whichever bill you and your colleagues choose, you need to make that choice!

A right delayed is a right denied and legislators who deny and ignore my Constitutional rights will not fare well in the next election..
