Confirmed: Decorated Army Hero Has Just Days Left!

The Obama administration blinked. They delayed their decision to discharge Sgt. Charles Martland. It gave us more time to mobilize support for this American hero. But now, that delay is coming to an end.

On or before May 1, the Pentagon will finalize Sgt. Martland's involuntary discharge from the Army. All because he defended an Afghan child rape victim.

Sgt. Charles Martland is an American hero. He spent 11 years in the Army, became a Special Forces Green Beret, and received 2 Bronze Stars through his service.

He is someone to be lauded and admired.

The Obama administration and the Pentagon are trying to involuntarily discharge him from Army because he shoved an Afghan police officer who admitted to kidnapping a small child, chaining him to a bed, and raping him for 10 days.

51 of your colleagues have co-sponsored House Resolution 451. I beg you to do everything in your power to force an emergency floor vote to save this hero's career.

H.Res. 451 is common sense and would surely pass. It has only four points:

"(1) Members of the United States Armed Forces should not be punished for standing up to child rapists;

(2) Putting the interests of Afghan rapists ahead of American war heroes is a national disgrace;

(3) The Americans who should be punished are those who created and condone the immoral and reprehensible policy that encourages members of the Armed Forces to ignore child rape; and

(4) The Secretary of Defense should immediately order the reinstatement of Sergeant First Class Charles Martland as a member of the Army."

There is nothing controversial about this but the administration doesn't want this resolution to see the light of day. They want to be able to kick hero's out of the military for any reason.

Sgt. Martland isn't the only one who has been punished for standing up to child rapists and unless you pass this resolution, he certainly won't be the last.

I need to know where you stand on this. I need to see you rise up and defend this man. This might not be high on your priority list, but it is high on mine and important to your constituents.

At the end of the month, the Pentagon will rule on Sgt. Martland's appeal. If you don't take a stand, then I will have no choice but to do everything in my power to replace you.
