The Social Security Beneficiary 2nd Amendment Rights Protection Act has been introduced into both chambers and it is absolutely imperative that you fast-track it.

This bill would put a stop to Obama's plan to disarm veterans and social security beneficiaries for no reason other than the fact that they need help managing their finances.

When Barack Obama announced his executive orders, he promised there would be no confiscations. He lied.

One of his directives is for the Social Security Administration to confiscate guns from 75,000 beneficiaries a year. That is a quota.

Many will have their guns seized and rights taken away because they have what is known as a "designated payee." Essentially, this is a family member recognized by the government who has the authority to make financial decisions on behalf of the beneficiary.

This does not mean that the beneficiary is mentally ill. The SSA itself allows for Designated Payees to be assigned if the beneficiary doesn't own a car and needs help depositing checks, lives too far away from the bank or grocery store, has proven to be bad at managing finances, or simply asks for help.

Nothing in that list is a disqualifier for owning firearms. But the Obama administration is moving forward and plans to disarm anyone who falls under this category.

The Social Security Beneficiary 2nd Amendment Rights Protection Act is simple. The Protecting Gun Rights and Due Process Act in the Senate is straight-forward as well. They both say that a beneficiary being assigned a designated or representative payee is not enough to be determined mentally defective.
