Even More Turncoat Republicans Side With Radical Gun Control!

Gun control advocates are pushing for the most radical piece of gun control legislation we have seen in years. They demand that we afford the government the power to suspend someone's Constitutional rights without even charging someone with a crime.

What is even more pathetic is that 8 Republicans voted in favor of this gun control bill and at least ten more Republicans are reportedly eager to sign-on as well.

The vote to pass this amendment last week came up short. We lived to see another day.

But that other day is, unfortunately, today.

Don't let these turncoat Republicans force gun control down the American people's throats or dismantle the 2nd and 5th amendments! FaxBlast Congress and DEMAND they kill any and all gun control bills or amendments!

Last week, the Collins gun control amendment survived a test vote.

There were 52 Senators who voted in favor of the measure, with two other anti-gun Democrats not voting.

Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) has herself said that there are another 10 Republican Senators who have expressed their interest of voting in favor of the gun control amendment the next time it comes to the floor. That would give it more than enough votes for passage.

Let me be clear: American citizens are innocent until proven guilty. If the government believes that a citizen is a criminal or terrorist, the burden of proof rests on them to prove their case.

What this Collins amendment would do is take the judicial pillar of "innocent until proven guilty" and transform it into "guilty until proven innocent."

If the government does not even have enough evidence to charge someone with a crime, it is unconscionable to force Americans to pay out of pocket to mount legal fights to prove their innocence.

No one wants to let terrorists acquire weapons. But the solution is not to transfer the power to arbitrarily disarm someone to unnamed bureaucrats within law enforcement agencies. Far too often, the American people are told that the way to achieve security is to surrender some constitutional rights.

Ben Franklin famously said that anyone who surrenders liberty to achieve security deserve neither and he was absolutely right.

We lived to fight another day when this amendment fell short. Unfortunately, that other day is today.

You need to kill any and all gun control bills or amendments! Please understand that a vote for these unconstitutional gun control measures is tantamount to political suicide.
