Leftists Demand Lt. Colonel Be "Visibly Punished" For Talking About Faith

Even more Leftists are calling for Air Force Lt. Col. Michael Kersten to be "visibly punished" for telling an interviewer that Jesus is his role model.

They are outraged that he had the nerve to say during an interview that his faith in Jesus Christ helps to guide his leadership style.

Now, Leftists both inside the Obama administration and out are demanding that Kersten be "visibly punished" for what he did. They are calling for his head. Why? They now say that his comments have "offended" Turkish Muslim soldiers also stationed on the base.

When Military men and women are unfairly targeted, Congress answers the call to protect them. But only because YOU raise your voice and demand it!

Earlier this month, news broke that an Air Force Lt. Colonel was being investigated for talking about his faith.

Lt. Colonel Michael Kersten was interviewed as part of the Air Force's "Meet Your Leader" PR campaign. During the interview, Kersten was asked what historical leader most influenced his leadership style.

He responded that he did not have a name off the top of his head, but said that Jesus "is my guide and affects all of my decisions" and that Jesus "teaches to do all things as unto the Lord and I believe this is synonymous with integrity first and excellence in all we do."

Now, not only is the Pentagon initiating an investigation into alleged Air Force Instruction 1-1 violations, but the Military Religious Freedom Foundation is calling on Lt. Colonel Kersten to be "visibly punished" for his actions. Their reasoning? They claim that Kersten's comments were offensive, especially for Turkish Muslims also stationed at the base.

Think about that. A Military officer is asked a personal question about who influences his leadership style and the Left is calling for his head because he named Jesus Christ as his #1 inspiration and offended people.

He wasn't going around and handing out Bibles or forcing people to go to church. He gave a personal answer to a personal question during an interview.

In the past, you and your colleagues have debated legislation to protect religious conscience in the military. I am calling on you to open that debate once again and pass it.

No one is asking that people in the military be allowed to proselytize. But for goodness sake, the fact that we are even having this discussion proves that the political correctness in this country is out of control.

In the past, you have answered the call to defend men and women in the military who were unfairly targeted. As a voter, I am demanding that you do so once again!
