Paul Ryan just announced that there will be no effort to repeal Barack Obama's amnesty programs. He is refusing to let an immigration bill come to a vote unless it protects the "dreamers" that Obama gave amnesty to.

This is music to the ears of the establishment and special interests.

Right now, some of your colleagues are working on a "compromise" immigration bill. The two sponsors of this legislation are Senators Jeff Flake and Dianne Feinstein. They are calling their bill the Bridge Act (as opposed to the Wall Act).

This legislation would make Obama's amnesty executive orders permanent, block Trump from deporting illegal aliens, and defund his border wall proposal. We now know that Paul Ryan supports this bill wholeheartedly.

I guess this is designed in the hope that we will forget about the fact that you and your colleagues are still technically suing the Obama administration over the unconstitutionality of his amnesty directives...

In the words of Barack Obama, "elections have consequences." Donald Trump ran on a message of securing the border and enforcing our immigration laws as written and he won a historic upset victory. The American people did not vote for this "compromise" legislation package. They did not vote to continue Barack Obama's legacy.

I am writing to you to warn you to tread extremely lightly. I would hate for you to misinterpret the desires of the electorate. To do so would be committing political suicide.

The American peple voted for immigration enforcement. Already, 52% of all Federal criminal prosecutions stem from immigration enforcement, and that is in the midst of the largest stand down order in Border Patrol history. We the People voted for more enforcement, not less.

The American people voted for an end to Barack Obama's illegal and unconstitutional amnesty executive orders. The President should not have the authority to rewrite American immigration law.

The American people voted to defund sanctuary cities and implement mandatory minimum sentences for illegal alien criminals caught re-entering the country. And yes, We the People voted for a border wall.

That is the immigration mandate you have from the people. I am reaching out to you as a courtesy in the hopes of preventing you from going down the same path as Sens Flake and Feinstein. I want to continue to support you.

But if you turn your back on the American people and vote to cement the very amnesty we voted against, I will have no choice but to devote all of my time to defeating you the next time you're on the ballot...
