[Sen./Rep.] [FIRST NAME] [LAST NAME]
Dear [Sen./Rep.] [LAST NAME]:
Donald Trump has signed an executive order to begin construction on a border wall along the southern border.
He is also reportedly planning on personally overseeing parts of the construction.
The White House contends that Mexico will pay for the wall, one way or another, but in order for construction to begin, you and your colleagues need to fund it.
I am writing to you to make sure you understand that voting against border security is tantamount to political suicide. I don't care whether you have an R or D next to your name. Securing our border is not a partisan issue. It is a national security issue.
Any Member of Congress who votes against this funding will be removed from office. Period.
We have gone years waiting for you and your colleagues to make god on your campaign promises. Now we have a President who is intent on making good on them in his first week.
The age of inaction is over.
If you do not back this common-sense border security proposal, one that was already legalized in 2006, I will have no choice but to dedicate my efforts to your electoral defeat. I don't want to have to do that, but as I said: the age of inaction in Congress is over.
