When accused of spying on the Trump campaign, former-President Obama stated that the White House never ordered the DOJ or FBI to spy on Trump. Similarly, Obama's DNI James Clapper went on the record saying that there was never a warrant for domestic surveillance of Donald Trump.

They were telling the truth. They didn't use a warrant because American agencies weren't the ones conducting the surveillance. Obama allegedly outsourced that job to the British.

The US is a member of the "Five Eyes" intelligence treaty. The US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand all share intelligence with one another. They all have laws that limit how they can spy on their own citizens. So to circumvent these restrictions, countries like the US turn to the British to conduct the surveillance.

Just last year, Canada was forced to step back from this program after the government was caught giving intelligence on Canadian citizens to the other Five Eyes allies.

This is what three new sources are alleging happened regarding the Trump "wiretap." After being turned down for a FISA warrant, the Obama White House turned to British GCHQ to do what it couldn't: place surveillance on American citizens without a warrant.

The British were then free to share their findings with the Obama administration without consequence.

On top of all this, the man who authorized the spying in Britain resigned his post just three days after President Trump took the oath of office.

These are allegations, but they need to be investigated. It is not enough to simply ask the FBI if they received a warrant or not.

The news coming out today is that the Obama White House deliberately broke protocol so as not to leave a paper trail. They tasked British Intelligence with spying on Trump and then received the findings.

You need to investigate this fully. If the three sources are correct, this is the worst crime ever committed by a White House.

It is NOT enough to just search for a warrant. There is now sufficient evidence to suspect that the Obama administration engaged in warrantless surveillance of US citizen with the help of a foreign power.
