Shameful Dem. Governor Pardons Convicted Felon to Stop Deportation

This week, Colorado's Governor pardoned an illegal alien convicted violent criminal in the hope of preventing his deportation. This man was sentenced to 98 years in prison for armed robbery and when he was released early, ICE arrested him on the spot. The pardon now calls into question whether the deportation order stands.

All across this country, liberal cities and states are defiantly releasing illegal aliens from prison in order to prevent ICE from deporting them. An illegal alien was released from jail in Maryland after stealing a police officer's AR-15 and bringing it to school and in Connecticut, police released an illegal alien who admitted to 103 counts of vandalism and criminal mischief.

All to undermine the Trump administration.

Illegal border crossings are at a 17-year low. Yet, Federal immigration arrests are up 38% in Trump's first 100 days. The President is doing his job.

Rene Lima-Marin was sentenced to 98-years in prison after he was convicted of robbing to video stores at gunpoint. After a clerical error accidentally release Lima-Marin from prison 88-years early, a Colorado judge determined that to re-incarcerate him would be cruel and unusual punishment.

Yet, Lima-Marin never stepped foot outside of the prison. Waiting for him at the door were agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement. You see, Rene Lima-Marin was ordered deported from the country in 1998, partially because he was convicted of armed robbery. Even though this judge vacated his State sentence, he was still wanted for immigration violations.

Then, Colorado's Governor stepped in and decided to pardon Rene Lima-Marin. The hope was that by clearing his criminal record, the pardon would also invalidate the deportation order.

ICE is now scrambling to figure out whether they can even still deport him or not.

This is a trend we are seeing around the country. Left-leaning cities and states are so eager to stick it to President Trump that they are releasing illegal alien criminals back into society.

In Maryland, an illegal alien with a prior deportation order was caught bringing a stolen AR-15 to school. Local police ignored the ICE detainer and released him back into society.

In Connecticut, an illegal alien DACA recipient was just charged with 103 counts of vandalism and criminal mischief. Instead of turning him over to ICE for deportation, the police let him out without even requiring that he post bail.

This is happening all over the country. Left-leaning mayors and governors are releasing illegal alien criminals back into society so they can send a political message to the President and to their supporters.

This is shameful.

But what is even more shameful is the fact that you do nothing about it. Americans are being victimized by illegal immigrants and you seem content with letting it happen.

I am writing to demand that you move sanctuary city legislation through Congress. Every innocent life lost from this point forward will be because of your inaction and you can bet that We the People will be voting accordingly...
