After the Alexandria shooting, it is more important than ever to let all Americans defend themselves. Currently, people who are licensed or allowed to carry a concealed weapon for self-defense are only allowed to carry in their home states. Many states sign reciprocity agreements with one another to allow those permits to be valid out-of-state. However, there is no such thing as a permit that allows an American to carry nationwide.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would change that.

Instead of leaving it up to the states to create a patchwork system of reciprocity, this bill would force states to treaty carry permits the same way they treat driver's licenses. If someone is licensed or permitted to carry a firearm in one state, then they would be allowed to carry in every state.

With the Alexandria shooting, it is now more important than ever to tear down the barriers and allow Americans to defend themselves nationwide. The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act just gained its 200th co-sponsor in the House. It has surpassed the viability threshold.

However, many of your colleagues are pushing a different bill. Instead of granting reciprocity to all Americans, the latest bill introduced by Rep. Babin would only extend nationwide carry rights to Members of Congress.

Just in case you think this is a good idea, I need to set you straight.

The 2nd Amendment applies equally to you as it does to me. If you try to give yourself or your colleagues extra rights, while leaving the rest of America to fend for themselves, you will have lost my vote. The solution is to give reciprocity to ALL Americans, not just the ruling political class.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is viable. It has enough support to pass. You need to force a vote on it.

If you vote to give yourself more rights than the average American, I will not rest until you are removed from office. If you vote to extend reciprocity to all Americans, then you will have my vote.
