Well, a major gun rights bill just passed the Committee on Natural Resources, forcing Paul Ryan to schedule time for a full floor vote.

The SHARE Act would roll back the Obama-era ammunition and firearm bans, prohibit future Presidents from ever trying to disarm Americans again, and repeal a 83-year-old gun control law to make it easier for Americas to buy and own suppressors.

If we don't force them to pass this gun rights bill now, they never will. If they think they can get away with surrendering on this, there's no telling what they'll cave on!

A major gun rights bill just passed the House Committee on Natural Resources. This sets the Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreation Enhancement (SHARE) Act on a fast-track for a full floor vote.

You need to pass this common-sense bill. In addition to including changes to make it easier for American sportsmen to enjoy the outdoors, the bill undoes many of the unconstitutional gun and ammunition bans that were enacted under the previous administration.

It would roll-back the Obama administration's ammunition import bans, ensuring that Americans will always be able to own the ammunition necessary to keep and bear arms. Even though the Obama ATF ultimately failed a few years back to ban the most popular AR-15 ammunition in the country, this bill would protect M855 ammunition, imported 7N6 ammunition, and prohibit future administrations from ever trying to ban them again.

It would roll back the Obama-era ban on imported Russian firearms. Under the guise of anti-Russian sanctions, the Obama administration shut down the importation of popular Russian rifles and shotguns.

It would permanently prohibit the Federal government from ever banning lead ammunition. Obama's EPA and ATF tried to ban lead ammo for environmental reasons. Never again if the SHARE Act passes...

The bill would also make self-defense "legal". As ridiculous as that sounds, the Federal government is allowed to turn away imported weapons and ammunition by determing that they don't have a "sporting purpose." The fact is that the 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with sport and this bill would ensure that future Presidents cannot use this arbitrary rule to disarm Americans.

But most importantly, Congressman Jeff Duncan has added the Hearing Protection Act as an amendment to the Share Act. This would dismantle an 83-year-old gun control law and make it easier for law-abiding Americans to own and possess suppressors. Instead of forcing law-abiding Americans to pay $200 to the ATF and then wait a year for approval to purchase a suppressor, they would be able to go through the same instant background check system the FBI uses to approve firearm sales. Every year, the ATF collects millions of dollars in taxes to do what the FBI provides citizens for $7. Even in gun control Europe, suppressors are considered safety devices. This bill would do the same here.

I am calling on you to waste no time in passing the Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreation Enhancement Act into law. With the fiscal year coming to a close, you are running out of time to use the reconciliation process to pass this.

I need you to understand that a right delayed is a right denied. I am tired of waiting for you and your colleagues to fulfill your promises. If you cannot get this legislation passed, I will have no choice but to search for another representative who can...
