The 214th Congressman just signed on as an official cosponsor of the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. When you add in Steve Scalise and other Republicans who voted for this legislation in the past, that means we've reached the magic number in the House.

Yet, Paul Ryan continues to block it from getting a vote because he doesn't think the timing is right to restore millions of Americans' constitutional rights.

This legislation would overhaul the country's patchwork concealed carry reciprocity system and ensure that if someone is licensed or permitted to bear arms in one state, they are allowed to carry in all 50 states.

The 2nd Amendment's right to bear arms isn't just limited to someone's home state. It applies nationwide, just like the right to pray is protected across the country.

But the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act goes one step further. If someone lives in a state that doesn't believe in the right to bear arms, he or she would be able to get a non-resident concealed carry permit from a state like Utah and use that to carry nationwide... including in their home state.

This bill would dismantle a century of unconstitutional anti-gun laws. It would restore the right to carry for the tens of millions of Americans who live in states that arbitrarily block people from exercising their rights.

A quarter of all Americans live behind the gun control iron curtain. This bill would rip that curtain down and restore their right to bear arms.

You must pass this legislation. Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has signed on as a co-sponsor. His committee is the one that will hear this legislation. This is going to happen. The only question is what side of history do you want to be on?

If a vote is held, this will pass.
