A right delayed is a right denied. As long as the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act collects dust in Congress, I will blame you for denying the rights of millions of law-abiding Americans.

This bill is common sense. It allows trained and licensed concealed carry permit holders to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights in all 50 states. It shouldn't be up to states to decide whether they should honor the right to bear arms. The Supreme Court has already ruled in McDonald v. Chicago that states and municipalities are not allowed to infringe on this God-given right.

Not only that, but the legislation would open the door for millions of Americans living in anti-gun states to finally see their rights restored.

Right now, there are nine states that believe they have the right to deny any concealed carry permit at any time, for any reason, even if the applicant is a model citizen and perfectly trained. Those states are California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Delaware. Together, those states have 26 percent of the country's population.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would allow law abiding gun owners living in these states to bypass their state governments and apply for non-resident carry permits from states like New Hampshire, Utah, and Florida. Then, they would be able to use those legal carry permits to exercise their rights nationwide... including in their home state!

Can you imagine if 1 in 4 Americans were not allowed to pray in their home states? Can you imagine the uproar if nine states just decided to ignore the 4th Amendment and just start spying on all of their residents? Or ignore the 3rd Amendment and start forcing people to let police officers or national guard troops live in their homes?

There would be total outrage. However, since these nine states are violating the 2nd Amendment, they have been allowed to do so for over a century without anyone standing up to them.

This is your chance to break this cycle of inaction. Put the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act onto Trump's desk and restore the 2nd Amendment to all law-abiding Americans in all 50 states.

That means doing everything in your power to get this bill passed. If that means attaching it to a must-pass spending bill or lowering the threshold in the senate to 51, then that's what you need to do.
