Another Republican Congressman has announced he is flipping and going to support the Left's assault weapon ban. Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) announced he was supporting the Left's semi-automatic rifle ban and their attempts to implement a nationwide gun registry by mandating universal background checks.

That puts the total on-the-record number at six flipped Republicans, though at least seven more Republicans are reportedly considering it as well.

That would put the Left's magic number at 10 in order to force a vote in the House.

In the Senate, Republicans are also caving. Marco Rubio just caved and announced he was considering supporting Dianne Feinstein's magazine ban. The margin is much smaller in the Senate.

You need to stand down. I don't care what you have heard from the media or establishment donors. If you vote for gun control, you will be removed from office.

The last time an assault weapon ban passed in Congress, Democrats and turncoat Republicans suffered MASSIVE electoral defeats. The midterms are less than 9 months away. Vote for these gun ban proposals and you will be defeated.

Many of your colleagues are throwing their support behind a nationwide ban of semi-automatic rifles. Others are offering to "compromise" by raising the purchase age to 21 instead of 18, disenfranchising millions of Americans in the process. The last time I checked, the 2nd Amendment didn't include a 21+ caveat... If you allow for this right to be chipped away, even as a compromise, you are opening the door for more gun grabs in the future.

For some reason, many of your colleagues seem to think that they can stab American gun owners in the back without paying a cost at the polls. I am writing to make sure that you understand that if you do this, you will be removed.

That's not a threat, it's a promise.

You need to protect Americans' rights, not chip away at them. If you can't muster the courage to do that, then you have lost my support...
