When Trump took office, he had just over 100 judicial vacancies to fill. Today, there are over 170 judicial vacancies (including three on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals) and more than 100 executive branch nominations that Democrats are blocking from reaching the floor.

The Democrats have succeeded in blocking almost all of Trump's nominees. They know that if they can hold out just a few more months, they have a chance of taking back Congress and permanently blocking Trump's nominations.

They are trying to deny President Trump his victory. The Left is trying to deny YOU of your victory!

And the GOP leadership? They're letting the Democrats get away with it!

When Donald Trump took office, there were 108 judicial vacancies to fill. Today, that number sits at more than 170 open judicial seats.

Democrats have been using Congressional rules to delay and stall as many of Trump's nominees as they can. They are hoping to retake Congress in November and then permanently deny President Trump from filling these vacancies.

The Democrats are grossly abusing the Congressional rules, specifically the "blue slip" policy and the cloture rules.

Under the Senate rules, the Senators from a judge's state must sign off on the nomination before a full vote can be held. In order for Trump to fill a vacancy in the 9th Circuit, California's Senators must approve. For the past year and a half, liberal Senators have been refusing to hand in their blue slips. Under the rules, that means that the confirmation process has to be stopped in its tracks. The GOP leadership is busting these obstructions on a case by case basis, but McConnell refuses to stop Democrats from blocking qualified judges from reaching a floor vote.

On top of that, the Left is invoking the 30 hour cloture rule on every single nominee. Under the rules, Democrats are allowed to demand 30 hours of debate on each and every nominee. With over 270 judicial and executive vacancies to fill, Democrats have the power to force the Senate to spend almost 10,000 hours -- 340 entire days -- "debating" these nominees.

This is absolute madness. Not that the Left wants to stop Congress from confirming conservative nominees. What is madness is the fact that Mitch McConnell is letting them do it!

It was Harry Reid who invoked the Nuclear Option to push through Obama's radical nominees. Now that the pendulum has swung and Republicans control Congress, Democrats have perverted the Senate rules to block almost all of Trump's judicial nominees.

This must stop!

Democrats are promising to slow down and block these confirmations as much as possible. With Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy's retirement potentially imminent, the Left is refusing to let ANY of Trump's nominees through.

They hope that by running out the clock, they can gain more Senate seats in November and permanently block Trump's nominations. They've already blocked hundreds of vacancies from being filled for almost a year and a half. In their minds, they just need to hold out a few more months...

For far too long, the GOP leadership has prioritized the rules over taking this country back. Now is the time to act!
