The GOP is throwing in the towel. Not only are they refusing to fund the border wall in this year's spending bills, but now Ryan and McConnell are saying that there won't be a border wall vote until next year.

They are going to give the Democrats a chance to retake Congress and kill the wall once and for all.

President Trump isn't backing down. He has issued the biggest threat that he can: a government shutdown if the wall is not funded in the next 60 days.

The President is willing to fight with everything he's got to get the wall funded.

The President has issued the biggest threat to Congress that he can: he has threatened to shutdown the government if the border wall project is not fully funded in the next 60 days.

Why on earth are you and your colleagues defying the President? Why would you even consider sending him a spending bill that he refuses to sign?

The President of the United States is promising to veto any spending bill that doesn't authorize the border wall and yet, many of your colleagues think they can win this fight.

First, the GOP said that a border wall vote would have to wait until after the midterm elections. Now, they're saying that a border wall vote would have to wait until next year, once the next Congress is seated.

This issue is simply too important to ignore. Just this past week, police arrested a Jordanian man for smuggling six Yemeni nationals across the southern border. A twice-deported illegal alien was also arrested for bludgeoning a woman to death on the street in New York. Last month, a half-dozen illegal aliens hopped the border in Texas and tried to rob a jewelry store at gunpoint.

Keeping the border wide open like this has real consequences. Whether it is the national security risk, the violent crime, or even the drugs that end up poisoning our neighbors, the wide open border is killing Americans.

You need to approve the border wall funding. Right now, the House Homeland Security appropriations bill is earmarking $5 billion for border wall construction and security. Already, those in Congressional leadership are trying to remove those provisions.

The spending bill deadline is less than 60 days away. If you will not put a border wall spending package onto President Trump's desk before the end of the fiscal year, I will remove you from office.

We are done waiting. Approve the border wall now or you will be replaced.

I'm telling you: if the border wall vote happens after the midterms, you will regret it.
