Months ago, President Trump warned that he would never sign another continuing resolution omnibus spending package. He ordered Congress to pass each appropriations bill individually and put them through the complete committee process.

The House began writing up over a dozen appropriations packages and it looked like for the first time, Congress would actually fund the government the right way.

Last night, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell undid all of that. They inked a deal on a "cromnibus" package that removed every single conservative policy rider.

Planned Parenthood will be fully funded for the next year. Foreign aid programs that Trump cut will be almost fully restored. Gun rights proposals are being left on the cutting room floor. Obama's amnesty and catch and release programs will remain in effect.

And ZERO funding for the border wall will be approved.

The Leadership is deliberately tying FEMA funding to their border wall ban. If President Trump wants to make good on his promise and defund the bill, it would pull all of FEMA's funding in the middle of hurricane season. It's a despicable move by Congressional leaders who are more interested in hurting Trump than protecting this country.

But their promise is even more hollow. The Republican leadership is promising that if they outlaw border construction now, they will try to lift the ban in a few months. Their goal is to get beyond the midterm elections, once American voters give up all of their leverage.

I have been hearing these promises for decades, stretching all the way back to the Reagan years. Members of Congress promise to secure the border later if We the People vote for them now. For decades, we have been betrayed on this. Do you really think we're that stupid? Do you really think that we will vote for you on a promise to secure the border later?

I am sorry, but I refuse to fall for this again. If you want my support, you will abandon the Ryan-McConnell surrender plan and fully fund the border wall NOW!

Otherwise, I will have no choice but to remove you from office!
