Paul Ryan just revealed his immigration plan. He will give President Trump the $5.5 billion for the border wall -- just a fraction of the total funding needed -- if Trump agrees to instantly legalize all of Obama's illegal alien amnesty recipients.

Ryan's plan would put illegal aliens on a pathway to citizenship before a single mile of the border wall is even built. Not only that, but it would allow future Congresses to pull the funding without affecting any of the amnesty.

Truly, the Establishment thinks you aren't smart enough to see through their plan.

Congressional leadership are circulating an immigration "deal" that would make Obama's amnesty executive orders permanent. You must kill this plan!

In 1986, Ronald Reagan struck a deal with Democrats to grant amnesty to 3.2 million illegal aliens in exchange for border fence funding. Once the amnesty went into effect, the Democrats reneged and pulled the border security funding.

The same happened in 2006. George W. Bush offered to hold back on immigration enforcement if Congressional Democrats funded the border fence. The executive amnesty went into effect but to this day, the Secure Fence Act of 2006 remains unfunded.

Now, your colleagues are trying this for a third time. The new plan being pushed by GOP leadership is to give President Trump $5.5 billion for border security in exchange for full amnesty.

First of all, $5.5 billion, while a great down payment, will not secure the entire border. The leadership is, at best, offering 1/4 of the border wall funding if Trump agrees to make Obama's amnesty program permanent.

But more importantly, you and I both know that future Congresses would have full authority to pull this funding. Under the new Paul Ryan plan, border wall funding could be pulled and the amnesty program would remain fully in place.

If we want to have the debate about what to do with the millions of illegal aliens in this country, then we can have that discussion... after the border is secured. To grant amnesty to millions of illegals, along with a pathway to citizenship, is suicide without a fully secured border.

Without the wall, more illegal aliens will flood into the country and we'll be dealing with this problem again in 20 years.

If you think you can pull a fast one on me, you are wrong. You swore an oath to protect the American people, not to prioritize illegal aliens who broke, and continue to break, our laws.

The border wall must be built. That is your top priority.
