Back in April, the GOP leadership promised that Congress would vote on the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act before the year was up.

I am calling in that promise and demanding that you hold an immediate vote on this important legislation.

If you allow your colleagues to run out the clock on the 115th Congress, there will be hell to pay.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is simple: anyone licensed and permitted to carry a concealed weapon in one state would be granted reciprocity in all 50 states. Currently, 11 states refuse to honor any out-of-state permit. Unless someone is a police officer, it is impossible for the average American to exercise their right to bear arms in all 50 states.

Most importantly, however, the bill would also include reciprocity for non-resident permits. Right now, 25% of all Americans live in states that refuse to issue permits to their residents. The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would tear down more than a century of state-level carry bans and finally give tens of millions of Americans a pathway to exercise their right to bear arms.

This is the biggest civil rights bill to come along in a generation. So, why won't you stand for the 2nd Amendment? Why are you letting the Congressional leadership stall like this?

If you do not put the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act onto President Trump's desk before the end of this Congress, you will regret it.
Gun reform must be a compromise. Earlier this year, you and your colleagues expanded on the background check system to make sure that criminals and the mentally ill don't fall through the cracks. You passed this provision through the last omnibus spending package.

Now that the background check system is shored up, it only makes sense to protect the rights of people who pass those background checks.

I am demanding that you complete the compromise. Put the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act onto Trump's desk, by any means necessary. The Framers gave you the power of the purse for a reason. If you support the 2nd Amendment, you will use it before it's too late..

If you allow the leadership to continue blocking this common sense pro-gun bill, then I will have no choice but to assume you are an enemy of the 2nd Amendment... and remove you from office.
