Yesterday, you and your colleagues approved a two week continuing resolution, pushing the spending bill deadline back to December 21.

The American people are watching and know exactly what you are doing.

President Donald Trump has made his demand very clear. He wants full border wall funding. Not funding to buy Border Patrol agents new gear... not funding limited to repairing and expanding existing fencing... The President has demanded full border wall funding.

And yet, so many of your colleagues seem intent with calling the President's bluff.

The legislative "compromise" being pushed by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell would add an additional $1.32 billion in funding to last years Department of Homeland Security appropriations package. In other words, it is a continuing resolution with some new funding added on. Democrats are celebrating the proposal as the death blow to the border wall project.

Why? Because it would once again block the border wall from being built. All of the border wall prototypes that were tested this year would be off limits. The Department of Homeland Security would only be allowed to repair and expand existing fencing, and would only be able to utilize border barrier designs approved before 2016.

The bill that is being pushed includes ZERO funding for the border wall and Nancy Pelosi has promised that once she takes over, the wall will never be funded.

The Democrats did this in 2006/7. Most Democrats voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006 only to turn around the following year and block any of the funding from being appropriated for the project... Now, they're hoping that they can pull this off again with Trump's wall.

I don't care what it takes. You must secure full funding for the border wall project. No limitations... No caveats...

Years from now, future generations will learn about this fight to secure the border. What do you want the history books to say?
