President Trump demanded the full $5 billion for border wall construction. If you and your colleagues do not approve this funding, the President will veto the next package of spending bills and shutdown about a quarter of the Federal government.

You know what you need to do to keep the government funded. And yet, you seem to be completely ignoring the President.

It has been a week since Trump made his demand and there hasn't been a single vote on his proposal. The deadline is at the end of this week and still, the GOP leadership refuses to bring the clean funding bill up for a vote.

Instead, we just learned that Ryan and McConnell are working on a "compromise" bill being pushed by Senator Susan Collins.

She wants to give Trump half of what he wants -- just $2.5 billion -- and put most of it off-limits for border wall construction. The funding that would go towards border barriers would be limited to just fence construction. You know, the fence designs that are so weak, even toddlers can break through...

But in return, the legislation would also grant full amnesty and a pathway to citizenship to 1.7 billion illegal aliens.

What is even worse is that future Congresses could defund the border security portion and the illegals would get to keep their amnesty and citizenship.

Under this proposal, Trump would get none of what he has demanded and illegal aliens would get permanent citizenship...

No way.

I am demanding that you kill this amnesty surrender proposal. You need to force an up or down vote on a clean border wall funding bill. No fence-limitations. No poison pill amendments.
