On Thursday, your colleagues in the House Appropriations Committee did something horrible. They pushed through an amendment cutting off all Pentagon funding to the border wall project.

By the end of next year, the Trump administration will have built over 500 miles of new border wall, doubling the barriers along the Southern border. If everything goes according to plan, then more than half of the US-Mexico border will have some kind of barrier by the end of 2020.

So, of course, radical Democrats in the House and Senate are trying to pull the plug on the project.

The amendment that was just pushed through committee says that no Pentagon funds can be "obligated, expended or used to design, construct, or carry out a project to construct a wall, barrier, fence, or road along the Southern border of the United States or a road to provide access to a wall, barrier, or fence constructed along the Southern border of the United States."

What is truly disgusting is that your open border colleagues have attached this to a veterans funding bill. They are holding veterans programs hostage to try to force Congressional Republicans and the President to abandon the border wall.

This is gross.

I am demanding that you kill this amendment. I don't care what it takes. I don't care what it costs. You CANNOT allow this language to reach President Trump's desk.

We finally have a President willing to put America first and secure the border and now Congress is working overtime to stop him.

If you won't kill this military funding amendment and help President Trump defend this country, then you must be replaced by someone who will!
