Breaking: GOP and Trump Trying to Strike Gun Control Deal With Democrats

Republicans are lining up to help Democrats pass new gun control. Some want to disarm people who own suppressors, who are literally the most law-abiding Americans in the country.

Other Republicans like Marco Rubio (FL) and Brian Mast (FL) want to help Dianne Feinstein ban high capacity magazines and so-called 'assault weapons.'

Others, like Lindsey Graham, believe the solution is to let police disarm innocent gun owners they think could be dangerous (but haven't broken any laws yet).

The GOP admits that some Americans will have to lose their rights. They are now debating with leftists over how many Americans will be in the crosshairs.

You must kill this gun control surrender before it gains steam!

The shooting in Virginia Beach was tragic. Any innocent loss of life is disgusting.

But it is also disgusting to see you and your colleagues using this tragedy to discuss new gun control proposals, even if you know they wouldn't have prevented a single death.

The Virginia Beach shooter was an African American registered Democrat who went on a shooting spree after a workplace dispute. He purchased his guns legally and used a low-capacity .45 caliber handgun, not a so-called "assault weapon." The shooter allegedly used a suppressor, one that he purchased legally after passing the same ATF background check used to vet people who want to buy rocket launchers, grenades, tanks, and machine guns. And all of his friends, neighbors, and co-workers admit that he showed no signs that he was going to commit this heinous crime.

There isn't a single bill before you that would have prevented this tragedy. Not. One. Though, that hasn't stopped your colleagues from lying to the American people about this.

The ATF reports that out of the over 1.4 million suppressors legally owned by Americans, only 0.003% of them are used in crimes every year. Suppressor owners are some of the most heavily vetted people in the country and are the most law-abiding among us.

A firearm suppressor does not silence a firearm. It reduces the sound of a gunshot by 20-35 decibels and suppressed gunshots are still louder than jackhammers and car horns. You can see this in the fact that during the Virginia Beach shooting, multiple bystanders called 911 to report that they heard gunshots. Hundreds of thousands of Americans use suppressors to hunt, target shoot, and yes, even defend their homes without suffering hearing damage. Don't you dare pass any regulation banning or confiscating suppressors.

The shooter also purchased his firearm legally. The Left's universal background check bill, nothing but a thinly veiled attempt to create a nationwide gun registry, would not have prevented this shooting. You CANNOT allow this legislation to pass.

The same goes for Feinstein's assault weapon ban. Using a handgun killing as an excuse to ram through a ban on semi-automatic shotguns and rifles is disgusting and will not end well for you. And Lindsey Graham's "Red Flag" bill would have done absolutely nothing in this scenario because the shooter showed no signs of distress. He shot up his workplace just hours after he abruptly resigned.

You swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. That includes supporting and defending the 2nd Amendment. The Founders wrote the right to keep and bear arms into the Constitution specifically to make sure that future Congresses could not legislate away this right. They ratified the 2nd Amendment to ensure that Americans' right to self-defense would never be debatable.

And yet, after every high profile shooting, that is exactly what happens. Gun control activists demand legislation that wouldn't have prevented the attack and supposedly pro-gun legislators start negotiating to find some kind of middle ground by agreeing to only disarm some Americans...

There is no "compromise" when it comes to my God-given right to keep and bear arms for self-defense!

Members of Congress are eager to pass some sort of gun control. They want to create the appearance of "doing something" without angering so many gun owners that they are dragged out of office.

I am writing to make sure you understand that this isn't possible for you. You need to understand that stabbing American gun owners in the back like this is political suicide. If you vote to pass any gun control bill or make any attempt to chip away at the 2nd Amendment, you will be removed from office.
