After months of denial, the Left is finally starting to admit that there is a crisis at the Southern Border. Except, they refuse to admit that taking in over a hundred thousand unvetted illegal aliens a month poses a security risk. Instead, they claim that this is only a "humanitarian" crisis.

Pelosi claims that Congress does not have room in the budget to secure the border. And yet, she is rushing a bill through committee this week to give billions of dollars in humanitarian aid funding to the Departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services.

She won't allow Trump to spend a cent on border wall construction or hiring new Border Patrol agents, but is more than willing to take care of illegal aliens' every need. This is so backwards.

The Senate is holding a committee hearing on their version of the supplemental funding bill, and while there will be some money allocated to border operations, GOP leaders admit that their bill also will block funding for the border wall and new Border Patrol hires.

The Department of Health and Human Services has run out of funding early because they are being overwhelmed with catch-and-release illegal aliens. You need to treat the crisis, not just its symptoms.

You MUST approve funding for border wall construction. All data shows that when border barriers are built, illegal immigration drops. Stop playing politics with our national security and give Pres. Trump the funding he needs to secure the border.

You also MUST authorize emergency funding to allow the Department of Homeland Security to hire new ICE and Border Patrol agents. Border Patrol says they need thousands more agents in order to keep the country safe. You need to authorize these hires.

And you MUST stop Pelosi and her allies from incentivizing illegal immigration. If you allow this "humanitarian" package to pass as written, not only are you advertising to the world that the border is wide open, but you're telling everyone on earth that if they reach US soil, they will be eligible for taxpayer-funded welfare.

This shouldn't be politicized. Keeping the American people safe shouldn't be political.

Americans need Members of Congress to put national security above politics and if you aren't willing to do this, then you have no business serving in any capacity...
