The GOP just agreed to pass a Democrat amendment that would make this database of addresses off limits to ICE agents trying to enforce deportation orders.

President Trump took an oath and swore that he would uphold the country's immigration laws. That is exactly what he is doing.

ICE agents were poised to launch a nationwide deportation raid this past weekend. At the last minute, the President called it off to give you a chance to fix the immigration crisis in this country. He gave you two weeks to come up with legislation addressing the illegal immigration problem in this country.

The House and Senate are poised to vote on legislation this week. And while both bills have a lot of differences, they share one identical provision.

If passed, the emergency border bills would prevent ICE from accessing the Department of Health and Human Services' immigration sponsor database. When illegal aliens are released from ICE custody with orders to appear before an immigration court, they are transferred to a sponsor, who is usually a family member or friend. They live there until their court date.

We know, however, that the vast majority of these people -- over 90% -- never bother showing up to their deportation hearings. They lose their cases and are ordered to be removed from the country.

But under the new bill that you will vote on this week, ICE would no longer be able to get the illegal alien's sponsor's address in order to carry out the deportation order.

These are people who committed asylum fraud and lost their court cases. They have lawful deportation orders. So why are you trying to protect them?

What is the point of even having immigration laws if you aren't going to allow the President to enforce them?

It is a Federal crime to hide illegal aliens and help them evade capture. That is exactly what you are doing if you pass this provision into law.

You need to give President Trump the tools and funding to enforce our immigration laws, not craft new ways for illegal aliens to avoid deportation.

You serve your American constituents, not illegal aliens trying to avoid a deportation order. If you disagree, then you have no business serving in any capacity...
