The 2nd Amendment says that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The Supreme Court has ruled that the term "bear arms" means to carry weapons for self-defense.

Except right now, it is impossible for any American civilian to legally carry a firearm in all 50 states. It doesn't matter how many concealed carry permits they have. It is impossible to have nationwide reciprocity today.

You can fix this. There is legislation in both the House and the Senate that would require states treat concealed carry permits the same as driver's licenses. When someone drives across the country, they don't need a driver's license in every state they plan to visit. They are still expected to know state and local driving laws, but they are allowed to use their state-issued license.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act and Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would fix that. Anyone licensed or permitted to carry a firearm in a state would be allowed to carry in all 50 states. This also applies to Constitutional Carry states that allow concealed carry without a permit.

The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act protects the 2nd Amendment rights of individuals while respecting the 10th Amendment rights of states. But most importantly, it makes good on the 14th Amendment's promise that Congress will intervene anytime states enforce laws that violate Americans' rights.

You have an obligation to right this wrong.

The American people have waited long enough. It is time to pass Concealed Carry Reciprocity and send it to President Trump's desk for signature.
