Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) are working with Democrats to approve a spending bill amendment that would restore all of Planned Parenthood's funding. It would force Pres. Trump to disburse the family planning funds according to the Obama administration's regulations...

We are so close to winning this, and now these GOP cowards want to give it all back...

Starting this week, abortion providers like Planned Parenthood can no longer access Title X family planning funds.

President Trump made a promise to the American people to pull this funding and he delivered on that promise. Even more, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals examined the new Protect Life regulation and allowed it to go into effect.

On Monday, Planned Parenthood officially withdrew from the Title X program. They chose to abandon access to $280 million in funds in order to preserve their abortion business. Now, that funding will be redirected to healthcare clinics that do not refer or perform abortion procedures.

This shouldn't be controversial. The American people overwhelmingly support the ban on Federally-funded abortions. This regulation closes accounting loopholes that Planned Parenthood -- the world's largest abortion provider -- used to access the funding anyway.

And yet, many of your colleagues are now trying to undo Trump's new regulation.

Slipped into page 49 of the House's version of the Health and Human Services Appropriations Act is an amendment designed to roll-back the Presidents Protect Life rule.

It reads that, "the Secretary shall carry out section 1001 of the PHS Act solely in accordance with any regulations or other conditions or instructions established by the Secretary pursuant to the authority under section 1006 of the PHS Act that applied as of January 18, 2017, to grants and contracts awarded under section 1001 of the PHS Act..."

This provision would undo all of the Trump administration's work and force HHS to disburse Title X funds according to the Obama administration standards that were in place two days before Trump's inauguration. This is truly a disgusting abuse of power. Of course, Senate Democrats and a handful of Republicans are trying to slip this amendment into their version of the bill as well.

I am demanding that you do everything in your power to stop this provision from becoming law. I don't care what it takes. I don't care what the Left tries to bribe you with to get you to turn a blind eye to what they are doing. There is no hiding from this.

You CANNOT allow them to roll back President Trump's Protect Life regulation and restore Planned Parenthood's funding!

If this despicable one-sentence-long amendment survives and becomes law, I will hold you personally accountable.
