Many of your colleagues want to abolish the 2nd Amendment. They are literally promising to confiscate Americans' firearms if they ever take control of both Congress and the White House.

There is no compromising with these radicals. There is no middle ground when it comes to gun bans or confiscation programs. You either support the right to keep and bear arms, or you don't.

But many in Congress want to show the American people they are "doing something" on guns without ostracizing gun owners. They now believe they have found a bill to strike that balance. Instead of authorizing nationwide gun bans or confiscation "buybacks," the GOP's new compromise plan would create a nationwide gun owner registry instead.

Right now, the Federal government is notified when someone buys a firearm from a licensed dealer. That is what the background check system is. ATF agents also have access to records showing what gun(s) were transferred, and to whom.

But the government hasn't had the ability to monitor private sales and transfers. This is by design to prevent the Federal government from creating a gun registry that can be used for future confiscations.

The Establishment Republicans' new plan would give them that authority. Every time a firearm changes hands in this country, the government would know about it.

Gun grabbers are excited because they know complete confiscation is impossible without registration. They need to know who has the guns before they can confiscate them...

Why on earth would you give them that power?
