Barack Obama's DACA amnesty executive order was completely illegal and unconstitutional. Not only did he refuse to enforce our immigration laws ("deferring action), but the former-President bypassed Congress and ordered the government to start issuing work permits to people living in the country illegally.

As you know, it is against Federal law for any illegal alien to work in the country. But Obama's amnesty order promised that his administration wouldn't prosecute illegal aliens for that either...

When Trump took office, he decided that the Federal government should enforce all immigration laws as-written. He signed an order rescinding the DACA program and gave you and your colleagues six months to come up with a legislative solution.

But instead of doing that, liberal judges intervened and blocked the President's order from going into effect. They forced President Trump to stop enforcing the law as-written. When those injunctions came down, Congress lost all impetus to pass an immigration package.

Now that the Supreme Court is set to hear the case, and likely to strike down Obama's program, all of a sudden there is action in Congress again. But instead of passing a comprehensive immigration bill, your colleagues are now demanding a clean amnesty bill. No border enforcement provisions... No changes to our legal immigration system... Just amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

The proposed legislation would grant amnesty and a pathway to citizenship for millions of illegal aliens, even if they are convicted criminals. As long as an illegal alien does not have more than four misdemeanor convictions, they would become eligible for amnesty and American citizenship.

How is this possibly your priority right now? Why are you even considering this?

The plan is to pass this alongside next year's Homeland Security funding. Your colleagues are literally threatening to hold America's national security hostage unless you agree to give amnesty and citizenship to millions of illegal aliens, including convicted criminals.

You CANNOT allow this bill to pass. I don't care what it takes. You cannot give in to these amnesty demands.

Republicans are offering to negotiate over how many millions of illegal aliens should get amnesty and how many crimes they should be allowed to commit.

The only acceptable answer is ZERO.

I need you to understand something, so please pay attention: if you vote for this... if you make this a priority and start handing out amnesty to millions of illegal aliens (including criminals)... you will be removed from office!
