For the last week, Democrats have been threatening to shutdown the Federal government unless the GOP agrees to cut the funding to Trump's border wall project.

Democrats have already slipped two amendments into the upcoming spending package that are designed to shut down all border wall construction.

All the Republicans need to do to win is hold the line. But already, we are seeing these GOP cowards starting to cave to the Left's demands.

Border wall construction is now underway in California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. Almost 80 miles of new wall have been built and there are 159 miles currently under construction. Over the next year, the administration plans to build between 450 and 500 miles of NEW border wall.

By the end of Trump's first term, he will have doubled the pedestrian fencing that was in place when he took office.

Already, Border Patrol agents are saying that these new wall sections are working. Illegal border crossings and smuggling have plummeted in these sectors. Without a doubt, the border wall is already keeping the American people safe.

So why are you considering pulling the plug on the construction all together?

Democrats want you to help them pull the plug on the border wall construction, otherwise they are threatening to shutdown the Federal government.

Section 227 of the DHS Appropriations Act and Section 2801 of the NDAA both contain amendments designed to cancel the President's national emergency and block any Federal funds from being used to secure the border. These amendments are so radical that they would even block Border Patrol from repairing existing fencing. If cartel smugglers cut a hole in the fence, Border Patrol would not even be allowed to patch it...

Border security never used to be controversial. Even just a couple years ago, Republicans and Democrats both agreed that the country needed a fence or wall at the southern border to keep the American people safe.

But many of your colleagues hate Trump more than they care about border security. They are willing to hold the country's national security hostage to try to score political points against the President.

You must stop them.
