With all eyes on the impeachment hearings, a number of your colleagues are trying to strike a deal on immigration. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court finally heard the legal challenge to Barack Obama's amnesty executive order.

The hearing showed that the majority of the Supreme Court justices appear to support President Trump's position: he has every right to cancel an executive order signed by the previous President.

The truth is that Barack Obama went too far. When Congress refused to pass Obama's immigration bill, he chose to take action on his own. He signed an executive order promising not to deport hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens.

But he went even further than that. Obama also started handing out work permits to illegal aliens covered by his deferred action executive order. Even though Federal law explicitly states that illegal aliens cannot work in the United States, Obama gave them work permits anyway.

Now that the Supreme Court is poised to uphold Trump's right to end this illegal and unconstitutional program, many of your colleagues are scrambling to pass new legislation before a final decision is released.

They claim that their bill would simply make Obama's order permanent. But that is a lie.

H.R. 6, the legislation that Pelosi and her allies are supporting, is far more radical than Obama's program. The bill would expand the amnesty program from 700,000 illegals to over 2.5 million illegals. It would also go beyond simply deferred action and offer illegal aliens permanent residency and even American citizenship.

And here is the most radical part of the legislation: illegal aliens would be eligible for citizenship as long as they have not committed more than four crimes.

Think about that. The eligibility cap is set at 4 misdemeanor criminal convictions. As long as illegal alien criminals served less than four years in prison, they would be able to receive American citizenship.

Are you insane? How could you possibly believe that you were sent to DC with a mandate to turn illegal alien repeat-convicted criminals into American citizens?

Now that the Supreme Court appears ready to strike down Obama's amnesty program, this is the plan that Democrats and Republicans are now pushing.

I want to make myself abundantly clear, so please pay attention: if you vote for this, or any other bill that offers millions of illegal aliens -- including convicted criminals -- a pathway to American citizenship, you will be removed from office.
