Breaking: Navy Secretary Doubles Down, Refuses to Stop Admiral From Punishing Pardoned Hero!

The Secretary of the Navy has just released a statement. Even though President Trump ordered the Navy to stop persecuting innocent SEAL Eddie Gallagher, Secretary Spencer has given the Navy permission to ignore the order.

Since it was posted on Social Media, Sec. Spencer says it is not an official order. He admits he understands what the President wants, but is refusing to do it.

So even though two-time Bronze Star recipient Eddie Gallagher was acquitted of war crimes... even though he was pardoned for the lowest charge he was convicted on... and even though the President ordered the Navy to reinstate his rank and pay so Gallagher can retire with dignity... the Navy is ignoring all of this and punishing Gallagher anyway.

And if Trump dares intervene again, the Navy's leadership structure is threatening the President with mass resignations.

Eddie Gallagher is an American hero who has been forced to go through hell for the last year. Military prosecutors accused the two-time Bronze Star recipient of war crimes, specifically of murdering an ISIS fighter on the battlefield.

When the case got to trial, the prosecutor's case fell apart. Ultimately, the jury acquitted Gallagher on all of the war crimes charges. They returned a single guilty verdict for posing for a photograph next to a corpse.

Throughout the entire case, President Trump was forced to intervene to ensure Gallagher was treated fairly. Trump intervened multiple times when the prison was treating Gallagher and his family unfairly. Trump stepped in when the lead prosecutor was caught spying on the Defense counsel. And when the Gallagher was convicted of the lone charge, Trump signed a full pardon so that Gallagher could retire with his rank and pay grade restored.

The President's intentions couldn't be cleared. But this week, Rear Admiral Collin Green announced he was convening a disciplinary board to kick Gallagher out of the Navy SEALs. Since Gallagher is retiring, this is nothing but an attempt to defy the President and punish an innocent man.

When Trump learned of this, he ordered the Navy to stop persecuting this innocent hero and move on. But since the order did not come down through official channels, Rear Adm. Green announced he would be ignoring it and holding the disciplinary hearing as scheduled.

When the White House turned to the Secretary of the Navy, Richard Spencer, he too said he would be defying the obvious direction from the Commander in Chief. The Secretary of the Navy told the White House that he would only listen to an official order passed down through official channels. But the Secretary allegedly warned that if the order came, he would resign rather than carry it out. Dozens of Naval officers have reportedly threatened to resign if the Commander in Chief intervenes any more to protect this innocent man.

This is insubordination. And now Pentagon officials are blackmailing the President with threats of mass resignations if he dare punish them for that insubordination... This is absolute madness.

I am demanding that you intervene. Yes, you need to help save Eddie Gallagher so that he can retire with dignity at the pay level that he has earned. But perhaps more importantly, you need to launch a full investigation into this lawlessness. You must investigate the Gallagher case from start to finish.

You must investigate why charges were even brought against this man given how little evidence the prosecutors had. You need to investigate why heavily armed police officers dragged Gallagher out of his home in his underwear during an early morning arrest raid.

You need to investigate why a prison warden defied a Presidential order and kept Eddie Gallagher in restrictive custody in the lead up to his court date. You must investigate why military prosecutors used malicious computer code to spy on the Defense counsel during the trial.

And you MUST also investigate why the head of the SEAL Program and Secretary of the Navy believe they can defy the Commander in Chief and punish a pardoned hero.

You need to investigate all of it. Drag them all in to testify and answer for their actions. And when you discover blatant insubordination, you must use every tool at your disposal to force the Pentagon to clean house.

What happened to Eddie Gallagher is disgusting. I am DEMANDING that you intervene and put a stop to this right now.
