America is more politically polarized today than at any point since the civil war. There is not a lot that Democrats and Republicans agree on. But polling shows that both the Right and Left support imposing term limits on members of Congress.

Sen. Ted Cruz has introduced S.J.Res. 1. Under this bill, Congressmen would be limited to serving three terms and Senators limited to serving two terms in office.

The leadership of both parties have promised that this bipartisan and common-sense proposal will never see the light of day.

That makes a lot of sense, coming from them. Pelosi, Schumer, and McConnell have all been in office for over 30 years. These career politicians don't serve their constituents, they serve themselves.
