You and your colleagues are openly debating a new coronavirus response bill. Democrats want to fund their pet project social programs and Republicans want to bail out the industries effected by the virus.

But neither party wants to do what it actually takes to permanently protect the American people.

Border Patrol is now reporting that so far this year, they have apprehended 328 Chinese illegal aliens crossing the US-Mexico border. If those same migrants were to arrive in one of our international airports, they would have been immediately turned away under Trump's coronavirus response policies. But if they enter illegally and fraudulently claim asylum, they have a legal right to stay.

This is insane. We know that open borders lead to increased disease transmission. Every year, thousands of illegal aliens are quarantined and treated for infectious and deadly diseases like tuburculosis and measles. There is no doubt that even if we are able to contain the domestic spread of the coronavirus, more cases will pop up because of the unsecured border.

We know that the border wall is working. Border Patrol reported this week that in the 135 miles where new wall has gone up, Border Patrol agents have captured 90% of illegal aliens trying to cross. Before the wall had been put up in those sectors, we know that apprehension rates were around 10%.

We also know that the Remain in Mexico policy is working. Instead of illegal aliens being released into the United States, they are being sent back to Mexico to await their court hearings.

But right now, activist judges are trying to overturn both of these common sense policies. Judges in the 9th Circuit Court have blocked border wall construction projects from moving forward and actually overturned Trump's Remain in Mexico program entirely. At a time when it has never been more important to police who is coming into our country, these judges are trying to re-open the borders.

You know that this is suicide. We cannot have a catch and release policy during a pandemic. We cannot have Border Patrol agents releasing illegal aliens into the interior of the country, no-questions-asked.

It is time for you to put politics aside and work to keep the country safe.

You MUST fully fund the border wall project.

You MUST take President Trump's Remain in Mexico program and officially codify it into law.

And you MUST pass the Secure and Protect Act and close the asylum loopholes that illegal aliens use to force their way into the country.

These are common sense programs that will keep us safe. But if you cannot bring yourself to support these proposals -- if you prioritize the rights of illegal aliens over the protection of your own constituents -- then you will have to be removed from office!
