Whenever the United States has gone through a Depression or Recession, Congress has acted swiftly to make sure American workers were protected. Herbert Hoover deported between 1 and 2 million foreign workers to ensure that jobs went to Americans first. Franklin Roosevelt dropped our immigration levels from 1 million immigrants a year down to just below 7,000. Even Barack Obama signed a bill into law prohibiting companies from replacing American workers with H-1B foreigners.

But this time, Congress has done the opposite. Instead of protecting American livelihoods, Democrats forced through an amendment to extend all foreign work permits. Instead of closing our foreign worker programs, the Left is demanding that we increase them. And instead of working to save American small businesses, Pelosi is focusing instead on restoring the foreign aid that Trump cut.

Enough is enough!

Our message today is simple. Congress must suspend all immigration programs and protect American workers. Any Congressman or Senator who refuses must be removed from office.

During the Great Depression, the Hoover administration deported between 1 and 2 million people to ensure that jobs were available for Americans out of work.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt slashed immigration into the United States, cutting it from 1 million immigrants per year (pre-Depression) to just 6,900 immigrants entering the US per year between 1931 and 1940.

And when the recession hit the United States, Barack Obama signed a bill into law prohibiting companies from replacing Americans with H-1B workers.

Whenever a depression or recession has hit the United States, Congress has acted swiftly to make sure that American workers were protected, first and foremost. Except this time, you and your colleagues appear to be doing exactly the opposite.

Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer blocked the small business loan program from being re-filled. They guaranteed that more businesses will close and more Americans will lose their jobs, all to get leverage for their own Leftist agenda items. Among those is the demand that illegal aliens receive stimulus checks too...

During the last stimulus bill, your colleagues pressed to make sure that foreign workers had their visas extended. And even now, after over 22 million Americans have filed for unemployment, there are still Members of Congress demanding that we preserve and even expand foreign worker programs.

This is the first Congress in modern history to put the needs of foreign workers ahead of the American people. You should be ashamed of yourself.

But it doesn't have to be this way. You can still put the American people first.

That is going to require you to do three things.

First, you must suspend all immigration programs. Just as Roosevelt cut immigration by more than 99.7%, you need to do the same. No more "diversity" visas. No more H-1B visas designed to replace American workers with cheaper foreign alternatives. No more H-2B visas. You need to put a stop to all of this. We have over 22 million Americans out of work. You need to put them first.

Second, you need to start scaling back current foreign work permits and visas. In the previous stimulus bill, your colleagues pushed through an amendment to extend foreign work permits. You need to repeal that provision immediately. It is unconscionable.

And lastly, you need to kill this new effort to extend stimulus funds to foreign workers without green cards. You CANNOT allow the Leave No Taxpayer Behind Act to pass. You need to focus on helping Americans and lawful permanent residents, not illegal aliens and other foreign workers.

History is being written right now. Every other time the United States has gone through a depression or recession, your predecessors acted swiftly to put the American people first.

There is still time for you to do the right thing, but that window is closing. If you will not put the American people first by suspending these immigration programs indefinitely, then I will have no choice but to remove you from office and replace you with someone who cares about their constituents...
