After Democrat mayors and governors forced gun stores to close, law abiding citizens around the country turned to gun kits so they could legally build their own firearms at home.

Now, Democrats want to crack down on homemade firearms. Their bill -- the Untraceable Firearms Act -- would not only ban homemade firearms without first obtaining the Federal government's permission, but it would also force gun owners to undergo an additional background check every time they want to upgrade or repair their firearms.

The Left is pushing forward with this new gun ban and are promising their base that they will attach it to the upcoming stage four stimulus bill. And they are already convincing Republicans to sign onto it!

Democrats are trying to slip a new gun control bill into the upcoming phase four stimulus bill.

All across the country, Democrat governors and mayors have forced gun stores to close, shut down firearm background checks, and made it illegal to buy and sell firearms.

Many law abiding Americans responded by bypassing gun stores entirely and choosing to build their own firearms at home, using parts kits.

This is completely legal under federal law, and it should be. If an American is legally allowed to own a gun, then federal law allows them to legally manufacture a firearm, as long as it is only for personal use (and not to resell).

America has a long and storied history of DIY gunsmithing, going all the way back to the American Revolution.

And yet, the Untraceable Firearms Act of 2020 would seek to undo that. The legislation would redefine firearm parts as firearms, forcing Americans to receive government permission before they are allowed to build, upgrade, or even repair a firearm.

This has nothing to do with COVID-19. The only reason that more Americans are building their own firearms is because Democrat state and local politicians abused their emergency powers and forced gun stores to close.

These tyrants violated the 2nd Amendment and now their Democrat allies in Congress want to punish law-abiding Americans for finding a workaround. It is shameful.

You cannot allow this legislation to pass, either as a standalone bill or as an amendment to the upcoming stimulus package. I do not care what it takes, you must kill this bill.

The legislation's sponsors were hoping to be able to push this through without the American people realizing what they're doing. That is not going to happen!

I am watching you. If you allow this new gun ban to pass, I will hold you personally responsible and you will be removed from office.

You swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. That includes the 2nd Amendment.
