The GOP has agreed to bring the No Bailouts For Illegal Aliens Act into their phase four stimulus negotiations with Democrats. This bill would cut off funding to any city or state government caught sending stimulus checks to illegal aliens.

The Republicans agreed to advance the bill, but are already warning that it might get left out of the next stimulus bill. They are already warning that they are going to cave and leave it out of the next bill!

Last week, California began rolling out their $125 million aid program to help illegal aliens affected by the coronavirus. That same week, Governor Gavin Newsom's office announced that the state will be closing the Barstow Veterans Home and putting around 200 elderly and disabled veterans out of their homes. It is disgusting, but all around this country, state and local governments are putting the needs of illegal aliens ahead of citizens and legal permanent residents. Citizens are being told to tighten their belts while illegal aliens are sent additional stimulus checks.

These same cities and states are now demanding a bailout from Congress, claiming that they don't have enough money to care for their citizens. I am demanding that you co-sponsor Tom Cotton's No Bailouts For Illegal Aliens Act and do everything in your power to attach it to the phase four stimulus bill.

This legislation is common sense. In order for city and state governments to continue to receive government coronavirus relief funding, they would need to certify that they are not sending stimulus checks or other government assistance payments to illegal aliens. Any state or municipality found to be bailing out illegal aliens would be cut off from federal aid.

This is about putting America and Americans first. I must remind you that you were elected to Congress to serve your constituents, the American people. It would be a violation of your oath to vote to send federal funds to cities and states knowing that it would be used to help illegal aliens instead of Americans. That is what will happen if you agree to give cities and states unrestricted, no-strings-attached bailout funds.
