Nancy Pelosi just removed four paintings from the Halls of Congress honoring past Speakers of the House because they were linked to the Confederacy. One of those paintings was Charles Crisp, the 33rd Speaker of the House who made the mistake of fighting on the Confederate side when he was just 16 years old.

Across this country, rioters following Pelosi's lead are tearing down statues to America's founding fathers.

Now, Pelosi and the left want to double down by renaming 10 famous military bases, including the historic Forts Hood, Benning, and Bragg. She wants to tear down even more paintings and statues on Capitol Hill.

And she has GOP support. The Spineless Republicans are caving and agreeing to let Nancy Pelosi literally erase our history.

This week, Nancy Pelosi removed four paintings from the Speaker' Lobby on Capitol Hill. The paintings she removed honored past Speakers of the House Robert Hunter (D-VA), James Orr (D-SC), Howell Cobb (D-GA), and Charles Crisp (D-GA). Hunter, Orr, and Cobb all served as Speaker before the outbreak of the Civil War.

Charles Crisp served two terms as Speaker from 1891-1895. Why was his painting torn down? He made the mistake of signing up to serve in the Confederate Army when he was just sixteen years old.

Just think about this for a second... A seven-term Congressman and 33rd Speaker of the House had his official painting torn off the wall because he served in the Confederate Army as a teenager...

Rioters in San Francisco tore down a statue of Ulysses S. Grant yesterday. Grant was not a racist. He is literally the Union General who accepted Robert E. Lee's surrender at Appomattox Court House. A mob tore down a statue this week honoring Francis Scott Key, the man who wrote the lyrics to the National Anthem. In Boston, the Mayor's office has agreed to protester demands and will remove a statue honoring Abraham Lincoln freeing the slaves. That statue was literally commissioned and funded by freed slaves...

We are on the slippery slope. You gave an inch to these radicals and now they are trying to take a mile. They are trying to literally erase our history.

And now, you want to rename 10 historic American military bases?

There is not a single person on earth who can claim they were oppressed or persecuted by the signs standing outside bases like Fort Bragg or Fort Hood. No one can claim to be victimized by the names affixed to these bases.

This isn't about healing the country. This is a naked attempt to rewrite our history and seize ground in the Left's never-ending culture war.

We are who we are as a country because of our scars, not in spite of them. We respect and teach our history not to glorify the actions of imperfect men, but rather to learn from the mistakes of the past and resolve never to make them again.

Removing these paintings, statues, and signs from military bases accomplishes absolutely nothing.

You must put a stop to this. Your colleagues are already debating removing paintings and statues honoring the founding fathers. There will never be any pleasing people who literally hate this country.

I don't care what it takes, you must put a stop to this now. Kill the Elizabeth Warren bill to rename military bases and put a stop to this push to tear down historic paintings and statues.
