Warren's Amendment to Desecrate Confederate Graves in Arlington now Moving Forward
The House and Senate are racing forward with an amendment they claim would simply rename American military bases after Confederate heroes.
But surprising no one, the amendment is much more radical than that. As written, it would require the federal government to deface Confederate soldiers' graves and remove any mention of the fact that 482 Confederates are buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Many Democrats want to expand this to include the tens of thousands of other Civil War soldiers buried on federal land (such as National Battlefields like Gettysburg).
The GOP has told Democrats that this sounds like a reasonable "compromise." Not only do they stupidly believe they can appease this mob, but they are actually willing to let the Left deface war graves...
