President Trump was released from the hospital. This is good news. Upon arriving back at the White House, he told the American people to remain vigilant, but do not allow fear of this virus to destroy their lives. He is absolutely right.

The President is hopeful that his experience can light a fire under you to put the partisan games aside and finally pass a clean COVID-19 relief bill to help American families and businesses. But at the same time, you CANNOT reward the tyranny we are seeing from state and local governments, reimposing lockdowns.

Just this week, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that he was locking down nine zip codes because the case positivity rates are still above 3%. The virus doesn't understand zip codes. This idiotic ruling will now result in areas of New York where businesses on one side of a street can remain open, but businesses on the opposite side will be forced closed.

One of the reasons that Cuomo did this is that Nancy Pelosi has promised him a bailout. Pelosi's "compromise" bill would include close to a trillion dollars in unrestricted, no-strings-attached funding for cities and states.

Your GOP colleagues tried to include an amendment requiring that bailout funds be used on post-pandemic budget items. Meaning, it could only be used on Pandemic-related expenses. Democrats rejected the amendment, insisting that cities and states must be allowed to use the funding however they want.

California would be allowed to use the funds to bailout illegal aliens. New York would be allowed to use the funds to defend against an NRA lawsuit. Illinois would be able to use the funding to bailout their public sector unions' pension programs. This is what "no-strings-attached means." Amazingly, one of the only restrictions in the bill is that cities and states can't use the funding for policing...

But it gets worse. Pelosi's bill also includes government-funded healthcare for illegals, an end to state-level voter ID, and a requirement that dangerous criminals be released from prison. This is insane.

You cannot allow this bill to pass. This is not a compromise. If you vote for this, it is a surrender.

You must pass a clean covid relief bill. American families and businesses need help.
