For over half a century, the legal definition of a "firearm" has been set in stone. It is:

Starting tomorrow, the Biden administration will begin regulating non-firearms as if they are firearms. Americans who want to build a firearm for personal use, repair their guns, or upgrade a firearm will now have to jump through hoops and notify the Federal government when they purchase gun "parts." Biden plans to do this by changing how the phrase "may readily be converted" is interpreted.

Concrete definitions are important. Americans have a right to keep and bear arms. They also have a right to live under easily understood gun laws. When the slightest misstep can result in a Federal prison sentence, American gun owners deserve at least that much...

Joe Biden's ATF, however, is rewriting those laws and changing regulations that have stood for more than half a century.

Every law abiding American who has ever lived has had a right to build their own firearm for personal use without having to ask the government for permission first. Homemade gunsmithing literally predates our Constitution.

Under this new regulation, Americans will be forced to subject themselves to a background check if they want to build a firearm for personal use using a parts kit.

No President should be allowed to rewrite over 250 years of precedent using executive action. Congress never intended to classify firearm parts and non-firearms as guns under Federal law. The Biden administration is clearly overstepping its constitutional authority.

But the reason they are doing this is far more sinister. There are gun control advocates who truly want nationwide firearm registrations and confiscations. They know, however, that no firearm registry will ever be complete if Americans are allowed to build their own guns. THAT is why they have been pushing so hard for this.

When the Colonists were fighting the British, they were forced to take gunsmithing underground to avoid being caught. Homemade gunsmithing literally helped create this country. Now, with the stroke of a pen, Joe Biden wants to take that liberty away...

You need to stop this. I don't care what it takes, you cannot allow Joe Biden to change the legal definition of a "firearm" to make it easier for future confiscation efforts.
