The Senate is voting today to finalize giving President Obama "fast-track" powers to move forward with Obamatrade.

If Mitch McConnell and the GOP succeed, Obama will have the power to add whatever he wants to a trade agreement that is almost guaranteed to pass.

This is your last shot to stop this. If the Senate passes the House bill as written, then the legislation goes to Obama's desk where it will certainly be signed. Obama wouldn't miss an opportunity to give himself more power.

This vote is going to be close! Every vote will count! It is up to you to hold Congress' feet to the fire and demand that they halt fast-track immediately.

Mitch McConnell and his allies know that they can't get the Obamatrade legislative package passed as written. So, Boehner and McConnell have decided to vote on each particular legislative piece individually.

How can you even contemplate voting to give Obama trade-promotion authority when We the People aren't even allowed to read what has been negotiated so far? Honestly. I want an answer. There hasn't been a single trade agreement shot down after a President has been given trade promotional authority. So how can you possibly justify voting for TPA without letting me read what's in the draft?

If you're going to give Obama this power, shouldn't you atleast see whether he is doing a good job negotiating the trade agreement so far with the power he has?

The vast majority of your colleagues haven't even bothered to read the trade drafts.

In 2010, Nancy Pelosi said that the House had to pass Obamacare in order to learn what's in it. She became the laughingstock of the Democrat party and Conservatives rallied around this to retake the House. Now, you're poised to do the same with Obamatrade.

When I am able to read this trade agreement, I will be able to form a full opinion on it. Maybe I'll agree with the Trans-Pacific Partnership. But right now, you and your colleagues are asking us to just trust you. I can't do that. You're asking us to trust you even though you haven't read the draft and even though the list of Congressmen who have read the draft remains under lock and key.

I am not willing to give Obama a blank check to push his radical, lame-duck agenda and neither should you.

I am scoring this vote. If you vote to give Barack Obama this trade promotion authority, you will become an enemy of America. And America's enemies have no business serving in Washington!
