The Democrats are trying to force a vote on a radical gun control bill that would give Obama the power to suspend a citizen's 2nd Amendment rights at any time and for any reason.

No due process... no legal remedy...

No President should have the power to do any of this. Constitutional rights are not negotiable like this.

The last time the Democrats tried something like this, we put a stop to it with your help.

Congressional Democrats are using a parliamentary maneuver to force a vote on a radical gun control bill. They are passing around a discharge petition to force a vote.

This legislation would add the No-Fly List and terror watch lists to the NICs firearm background check system. Essentially, if a person is on one of these arbitrary lists, he or she would be prohibited from buying a firearm.

It is important to note that neither of the San Bernardino terrorists were on these lists prior to launching their attacks.

There is no due process within this system. People who are added to these watch lists are never notified. The point is NOT to tell terrorists they are under surveillance, right?

So how can you suspend constitutional rights without even telling someone?

Considering that Senator Ted Kennedy was one mistakenly added to the No-Fly List, this is hardly a fool proof system. Thousands of people have been mistakenly added to these lists.

The Federal government does not have the power to suspend civil rights without due process. If someone is too dangerous to be allowed to own/buy a gun, and the government has evidence of this, then they need to charge them with a crime. The law and constitution already affords the government with more than enough power to stop known terrorists from buying guns.

There is no reason to throw the baby out with the bath water. This is not an excuse to infringe on more of our rights.

The fact that this is even up for debate is ludicrous. Giving the Obama administration the power to suspend a citizen's 2nd Amendment rights at any time and for any reason is unconstitutional and tyrannical.

Put a stop to this.
