The resolve is crumbling. Republicans will push through Barack Obama's anti-gun leftist Supreme Court nominee.

Justice Scalia's one wish was that he not be replaced by a leftist who would undo everything he had accomplished on the bench, especially his landmark Heller v DC decision. His one wish was that the country not surrender all the gains he made to protect the 2nd Amendment.

In 2012, Justice Antonin Scalia sat for an interview and explained his one wish: that he not be replaced by an leftist, activist judge who would proceed to undo everything Scalia had accomplished on the bench.

That is exactly what your colleagues are preparing to do. We are less than 20 days out from a Presidential election and your colleagues now want to put another leftist onto the Supreme Court.

It only takes 14 Republicans to side with the Democrats in order to place Garland on the bench. The votes are there.

Merrick Garland would be the deciding vote for Obama's amnesty. He would be the deciding vote in overturning the individual right to keep and bear arms. He would rubber stamp Obama's regulatory regime and champion every single liberal cause on the bench.

He is not a moderate. At every turn, he has used his position to legislate from the bench.

Scalia pleaded that his only desire was to make sure he wasn't replaced by a leftist. "I would not like to be replaced by someone who immediately sets about undoing what I've tried to do for 25–26 years," he explained. One of Scalia's major accomplishments was the Heller decision. Confirming a liberal to the Supreme Court bench will eliminate the individual right to keep and bear arms.

Merrick Garland would do just that. He would be the deciding vote in overturning the 2nd Amendment.

You CANNOT allow this man to be confirmed. No, he is not a "moderate" and no, he is not "good enough."

There is already word leaking out that many of your colleagues are preparing to confirm Garland regardless of the outcome of the election. They are pressuring Chuck Grassley to hold a committee hearing "just in case" and then plan to rally with the Democrats to push Garland through during the full vote.

Senators are already apologizing for saying that they would resist any leftist judge that a President Hillary Clinton would appoint. They're pathetic and they're spineless.

I want to be absolutely clear... If you vote for this man, or step aside and allow a vote to move forward, you will have lost my vote for life. I will do everything in my power to elect your next competitor. That's not a threat, it's a promise. The future of the Supreme Court is too important to let you and your colleagues surrender like this!
