Two illegal aliens were arrested this week on charges that they raped and sexually assaulted children. One of them is accused of raping a 12-year old girl more than a dozen times, often when she was at church. One of these illegal aliens was released from prison, even after Philadelphia police gathered evidence showing he had raped a child.

Last week, an illegal alien was arrested and charged with rape and aggravated sexual battery after he crashed his vehicle into another femal motorist and then proceeded to rape her in a roadside ditch.

All across America, there are illegal alien criminals who commit heinous crimes like this but receive protection from liberal Democrat Mayors who refuse to cooperate with immigration officials.

These municipalities are known as "sanctuary cities." It doesn't matter how heinous the crime is, these leftist cities will not cooperate and help enfore our country's immigration laws.

Kate Steinle is the most notable example. She was shot and killed in broad daylight by a five-time deported illegal alien felon. The only reason her killer was on the street was because the city's chief law enforcement officer let him out of jail even after examining his criminal record.

Earlier this year, you and your colleagues tried to push through an immigration package that combined Kate's Law with a bill to defund Sanctuary Cities. The package was filibustered by Senate Democrats, even after language was watered down and concessions were made.

Now, GOP leadership is planning to put forward this same compromise bill. This package was designed to maximize the likelihood of Obama signing it. We don't have to worry about him anymore.

You need to remove these concessions and watered down passages. In the words of Barack Obama, elections have consequences.

Next week you and your colleagues will vote on a budget bill to fund the remainder of the Obama administration. It is absolutely imperative that you attach an amendment to this CR that will defund Sanctuary Cities once and for all! If these cities want to defy Federal immigration law, they can do so without Federal law enforcement grant money!
